On Shapeshifting, Boundaries, and the Body's Hidden Power
Thereās a place in the woods (the Waterfall Cutoff Lighthouse Trail at Peopleās Forest to be precise) where the rocks lean just soā¦Ā and if the sun hits it right, and the waterfalls around it sing loud enough,Ā you might see it too:Ā A jaguar's head, carved by time and maybe magic.Ā Sheās perched at the edge of the waterfall. Watching. Waiting.
That jaguar energy ā ancient, precise, not here to please āĀ is often the same energy that shows up in the room during craniosacral sessions.
Because: craniosacral isnāt just about relaxation (though, sweet hallelujah, it feels darnĀ good). Itās about crossing thresholds.Ā From tension into release. From numbness into sensation.Ā From disembodiment back into the holy ground of your tissues.Ā Jaguar teaches this. She doesnāt force it. She waits until youāre ready to leap.
The Body Is a Shapeshifter
You may walk in the doorĀ thinking youāre just ātight in the shouldersā or āburned out from work,ā but the body ā your body ā is far more layered than that.
Underneath that shoulder tension might be an old version of you holding a memory like a blade.Ā And underneath that?Ā A shapeshifter.Ā The part of you that knowsĀ how to move between versions of yourself.Ā The you that existed before the freeze, before the trauma, before you learned to tuck things away in your hips or jaw or belly.
Craniosacral invites this shapeshifter to emerge.Ā The nervous system slows. The tides of your body (yes, actual tides) begin to shift.Ā And maybe, just maybe, you remember:Ā Youāre not stuck.Ā Youāre fluid.Ā Youāre wild.

The Jaguar Knows Where the Edges Are
Jaguar doesnāt roam just anywhere. She knows the edge of the forest.Ā She marks it. Guards it.Ā She feelsĀ it in her bones.
Your body does this too. Especially in craniosacral sessions.Ā We move gently toward those places that are tight, tender, or locked away.Ā Not to bulldoze our way in.Ā But to ask: Is this boundary still serving you? Or is it time to shapeshift?
Sometimes your system says, āNot yet.āĀ And sometimes it says, āIām ready.ā
Craniosacral Journeys
Thatās when the magic happens.Ā The unwinding. The softening. The images that rise out of nowhere and make perfectĀ sense.Ā You start to feel your shape return to you. Not the shape society asked of you, but the one your spirit made long ago.
Jaguar energy reminds us that healing isnāt always loud.Ā Itās not always tears or catharsis.Ā Sometimes itās the stillness before a leap.Ā The weightless moment when your body says,Ā āYes. I can change now.ā
Craniosacral work is a practice in that stillness.Ā Itās where boundary meets breath, where the deep tides beneath your spine begin to move,Ā and you remember that you are, in fact,Ā a creature of the wild.
A shapeshifter.
Ā A jaguar.
Ā And yes, a body worthy of its own return.
